Petrol Hike Up 30sen

oh my gosh ! oh my gosh ! oh my gosh !

crazee right ?! dramatic increase and without a warning !

luckily i subscribe to STAR news alert. the message came in at 1030pm. managed to spread the word to friends around. some was lucky enough to have their car tank filled. others...well... my empathy to you guys.

i was just talking to ezz last night about saving up for a getaway. dang ! this screw my plans big time. how to save when you have to allocate an extra RM100-150 for petrol ?!?!

i have to think about upcoming road tax which cost me a bomb ! gosh i'm getting migraine just thinking about it.

now i have to cut back on weekend rendezvous that cost more than RM10, lunch karaoke, dvd, shoes, clothing, and daily spending. that's pretty much sum up my monthly essentials. ok maybe not on dvd, shoes and clothing but weekend gads keeps me sane from my everyday frustration, stress, pressure and helps keep the migraine away !

it's frustrating to worked hard and earned substantially well but it all goes to paying off debts, settling bills, paying for tol and petrol and cant save a dime.

*SIGH*

All I want....

I've been getting messages from my exs lately. I don't understand why some people find it weird to still be friends with your ex. Not most relationship ends on an unhappy note. Though, unfortunate for me, those I do fall the most never know how to give a decent break up *sigh*

Why is that? Is it so difficult to end a relationship? I mean of course there'll be heartbreak but that's better than not knowing where you stand and holding on to something not there anymore.

Anyways, I've been thinking of the men I've dated. I cant help to noticed how good looking most of them are. I mean for a girl like me to get such cute papas is quite... well... amazing. I'm not that deformed after all. I mean these hunks noticed me.... ok...

Then it hit me. It's all their fault! They have created some sort of standard in my selection of men. I mean realistically if you dated Brad Pitt before you'll think twice about dating Vince Vaugh, aint it??

Sounds familiar.... yeah....emmmmm.....

I guess that's an unjust comparison but the point is, that explains why I'm a sucker for gorgeous looking men. Then again, what makes him attractive is his humour. Being able to laugh over the same thing is important. Can you imagine if not? Gosh ! That's awful. I'm ever so grateful if he can get along with my friends. It's a plus to have someone with looks, but nothing beat someone who can interact with your circle of friends. At least you can be yourself and not to worry about jealousy and crap like that. Dang it ! I actually dropped those who don't. There is a problem with friendly men though. They're quite a chatter up... and a cheater.

All I'm asking is for someone nice, good sense of humour, friendly and a one woman man. Now that should be easy.

But it's not.......

A yearly affair

x-UArian YEARLY CHINESE NEW YEAR GATHERING
11 February 2006
The most anticipated event of the year. Pre-advance booking required to ensure full member attendance. Though no matter how early, someone always missed out.
Nonetheless, it's a lovely affair. We have to make a point to see each other on normal gad occasion. Seems possible? Unfortunately NOT.
But hey, what's important, for sure, we know one weekend during CNY, Tang will take out her organiser (or PDA) and lock us all in.

Whale done Tang ! You're a true Phoebe !

PS....beware of imposters.

half of the maddest & wackiest bunch

After so long....

Sam, Faeza and Alman balik kampung yesterday. Wah ! Alman's grown so cute and big. Alhamdullillah he does not looked anything like the father but showing similarity in behaviours.

Faeza is praying hard that he won't inherit the bads from dad !

The next thing I knew, I was in Jazz and headed towards Setapak for a night out with Sam. It has been centuries since I gad with Sam. Just the two of us. So we did just that.

Who would have thought I'll be riding on a scooter with unlicensed Sam without a helmet to tapau for the family. Felt like two adolescent riding in kampung estate and racing with pak haji (coincidently they were coming back from Maghrib that time). LOL.

After dinner we went to Planey for pool. Played few games with some off-duty American Navy. An Indonesian band was playing. They were good but the crowds are those not-working-not-yet-grad-and-i'm-cool patrons. The guys danced 'closely' with each other and the girls were hot but they tried too hard to be noticed. Generation gap was apparent. We left 20mins after.

Even so, I was asked for ID at Planey.

Me? ID? Serious? No way !

and yup...she insisted for it. The greatest honorable compliment I've ever received considering my self-proclaiming state of pre-midlife crisis.

Unbelievable ? Well, believe it !

*Left the car for rectification over the weekend. Luckily I only start work Tuesday. Insyallah no more problem. I can only hope. *sigh*

Phenomenally Bizarre

I was all set to spent Friday night on movie marathon. I got 'Tom Yam Goong', 'The Fog', 'Aeonflux' and a series of 'Lost' to watch before the hol ends.

Suddenly my sis asked a very peculiar question: Where's the best place to club tonite?

HUH?????

After scanning through list of clubs, they’d finally chosen a place to boogie. By 1130pm I was at Qba chaperoning my sis and her friends clubbing.

Chaperone ok !

Of course we're tight but we'd never gone clubbing ever in a lifetime. So here I am with 4 of her friends which had gone off from the clubbing scene for decades ! It was dang packed with Le Tour de' Langkawi troops/contenders all dressed in red ! Some even wore cheongsam ! One guy had on a tissue box (the ones with Chinese textile) on his head and he was sober not drunk !

Talk about fashion disaster *pwehhh*

Anyways, it was fun fun fun ! I was amazed to watched them danced their cellulite away.

Ditto.

Did a bit of 'closed' dancing with the only man in the group and was called gedik by a friend of my sis just because she didn't gained any attention in the club. Oh.... and she likes the guy I was dancing with. Like I'd knew that. Even so, that's no way to react to a friend's sister ain't it. She made that comment to my sis and of course my sis got defensive.

We were at Qba anyways so my 'hi' and 'bye' to people I already knew does not makes me 'gedik'. Sore loser !

They really went all out dancing to grooves from the past and new. I think my sis has the same dance moves as I do actually....emmmmmm....

We, are, thanked god, sisters so that's not so surprising.

Come morning, my sis looked stoned. It's like she hadn't slept a year ! They obviously had a ball and look forward for the next scene.

Next scene ?!?!?!!? Arrrrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !

*On a separate issue relevant to phenomenally bizarre, the car air cond busted again. This time it bugged the alarm system. Yeah I know........what the f&^* ?!?!

Never fear. Fun is here.

I was looking forward for the long break from work though I wondered what the heck I am going to do except from being a professional couch potato.

I would love a breakaway but me financial very cial one...... so I thought I'll catch up on my reading and DVDs.

Well, unexpectedly but not surprising, my hols was packed with plans. Nothing extraordinary but I had things to do since Friday !

After a long ungad epoch, I spent the weekend with Ezz, Andy, Aish, Saadah and Fara. We dined and danced at HRC, managed an hour of karaoke at BSC on Saturday, watched 'Keeping Mum' on Sunday and celebrated Fara's birthday at Karaoke Lunch Buffet on Monday.

Once you'd experienced Karaoke Lunch deal, you never want to night karaoke ever again...... *yeah right*

Shopped for Trisyia's bday gift at OU and treat myself to DQ on Tuesday.

There goes my calorie count !

Celebrated Trisyia's 9th birthday on Wednesday. This year I managed to get Amir to coordinate games for the kids.

Luckily his girls have grown and he didn’t need to cheat for them to win !

Come Thursday......
morning: sent my car to kia.

Yes again...rectify the air cond. Still need adjustment.

Lunch: Karaoke lunch buffet with my colleagues and a session of pool at a sleazy-looking-mafia-like place coz Breakers was still closed at 4pm !

Tea: Nescafe tarik at mamak.

Dinner: Sushi King and Baskin Robbins !

Emmmmm.....lovely :P~

On top of that, I managed to finished a book by Lisa Jewell called 'Thirty-Nothing".

Yes ironic I know :->

Notice the key word here is: KARAOKE

I had too much of ! If I have another session before the break ends, I won't crack but it'll be out from my social activities for a long long long time.

Yeah right !
