Siti weds Datuk K OR Mawi vs Ina

Typical human nature to be fascinated with someone’s sorrow over another person over publicise happiness especially if both are rich and famous *wink*

What are the odds that two of Malaysia’s most celebrated celebrities’ intimate moments are being broadcast live on the same day and same time?? The Media claimed it was pure coincidence. ‘Mawi…Ina’ was planned much earlier before Siti made her wedding announcement. While TV3 has been running this whole Siti thingie weeks before today, Astro Ria and TV1, for the first time, collaborated for one eventful moment.. or shall I say tragedy of the year. Not the unfortunate Yogyakarta disaster, not about saving Lebanon, but something more, that needed tactful attention of the viewers – why Mawi broken it off with Ina.

Really Malaysians, what is seriously wrong with this picture. What is the big deal about him and Ina. So they broke off… what so extraordinary about that? Relationships are like that. Some make it some don’t. Ok, fine Mawi is a celebrity. Other celebrity got off relationship before but you don’t see two TV stations getting together and made a cheap-tact-for-publicity over it. Fine. It’s media strategy to hit ratings and get extra expenditure. It’s business. Ok I get it. What I don’t understand is Ina. Honestly, why is she playing this damsel-in-distress role. First let me make it clear that I am NOT a fan of Mawi. I was drawn to watch it because my sisters were and they were very involved with it so hay, full of emotions and gosh, disgusted with Ina’s feedback. So I thought it’s a sisterly thing to do and so join sekali la. LOL !

Ina, aiyooo… I don’t know how to even begin ! What is she thinking ! Has she no shame for saying too much about it? Ok she’s sad. I get it but deal it maturely. What's the point of going public? What will she gain out of it? Bring down Mawi’s popularity? Get the whole of Malaysia to sympathise with her? Even worst, this modest like being of a woman portrays herself as someone of good faith and religious. Like it or not once you wear tudung, the public, especially non-muslim, will start talking about how unethical an ethnic suppose to be. She just had to published a book about her devastation over the engagement break off and now she's coming out with an album ! For heaven sake, she could barely hold a note !

Yup she sang live and dedicated to Mawi. And I cannot stand the way she speaks ! Goodness gracious ! Have mercy on me !

Peek thru Siti’s reception and obviously she looked absolutely gorgeous and the setting was breathtaking. You could tell that the whole event flashed millions of ringgit ! I wonder if she had to pay her fellow artists for singing at her wedding. It felt like watching the Grammy and the highlights was on ONE COUPLE. Like I said earlier, bad news is more intriguing than good especially if it’s something to criticise about.

I’m condemning her not cause I’m a heartless bitch but I disagree with the way she handles herself and going public. So kira tak kutuk la kan. Simply expressing my opinion right…mmmmm…

Anyhoot, both…err three channels took the opportunity to propagate the life of these celebrities, just-for-ratings and hack… it work ! So well done to TV3, Astro Ria and TV1 but don’t make it a habit. It may be good for ratings - sure as hell bad for moral.

Get the gadders

It has been a long long hiatus since we gadders got together and last Saturday, marked our fun time again.

In support of Sam newly career in F&B, we headed to Puchong, the most unlikely place we’d go for food or gad, in that matter, and trusted Sam to prepare our food singlehandedly.

It was a spine-tingling attempt, but we brave ourselves and let him wok it out. Ok ok… I had western instead ! I had rice from home… so don’t feel like taking any more rice or the likes. Really. It wasn’t an excuse ! *lalalalalalalalala*

Although it’s been months, we totally cracked ourselves silly the whole night. Sam of coz came prepared and treated us pandan chicken and fried ice cream. He knows us soooo well…. Hehehehehe…. Looking across the table, it was amazing how much we haven’t grown apart. The dudes are sharing story of their womanizing days, in present not past event ok

yang over sangat mamat yang dah berbini dan beranak tuh :-“

... while dudettes looked at each other, and wondered why we fraternize ourselves with such circle, and slyly glad that we did. Sam aggravated the guys to go to Koh Samui and get *busy*. Aisha got worried - Zul will never set foot in any part of Thailand after this ! It was good being with the gadders and the feelings were mutually felt too.

And this was Aisha first time with the group and she’s already dang worry ! LOL !

One thing lead to another, we headed to Avanti, to support Ronny and Sara which are performing on Salsa-licious nights – every Thur, Fri and Sat . Alas, we arrived to an almost empty club. The place closed 1230am ! Dang early right. So Aunty insisted that we chilled awhile and gave us a plate of Sara’s dancing partner birthday cake. We did for an hour before calling it a night, and adjourning with a plan for next Saturday.

The girl that sang for Ahli Fikir was in Avanti and she dressed 10 years over her age. Kids nowadays…sheesshh !

Today is the day

I thought this is sweet and commonly happen around us. Sometimes shyness overcome ourselves and we know it's best to step up... but we never would :-)

Daniel:
I guess we are the left overs in this world.

Jasmine:
I think so.. All of my friends have boyfriends & we are the only 2 persons left in this world without any special someone in our lives.

Daniel:
Yup! I don't know what to do.

Jasmine:
I know! We'll play a game.

Daniel:
What game?

Jasmine:
I'll be your girlfriend for 30 days & you will be my boyfriend.

Daniel:
That's a great plan in fact, I don't have anything to do for the following weeks..

- DAY 1 -
They watched their first movie together & were both touched in the romantic film.

- DAY 4 -
They went to the beach & had a picnic... Daniel & Jasmine had their quality time together.

- DAY 12 -
Daniel invited Jasmine to a circus and they went to a Horror House.. Jasmine was scared and she tried to touch Daniel's hand but by accident she touched someone else's and they both laughed..

- DAY 14 -
They saw a fortune teller down the road and asked for their future. The fortune teller said: "My darlings, please don't waste the time of your lives... spend your time together happily." Then tears flow from the teller's eyes.

- DAY 20 -
Jasmine invited Daniel to go to the hill and they saw a meteor... Jasmine mumbled something.

- DAY 28 -
They rode on a bus and because of the bumpy road, Jasmine gave her first kiss to Daniel by accident.

- DAY 29 -
11:37 pm
Daniel & Jasmine were sitting in the park where they first decided to play this game...

Daniel:
I'm tired Jasmine... do you want any drinks? I'll buy you one.. I'll just go down the road..

Jasmine:
Apple juice would be fine,thanks.

Daniel:
Wait for me...

- 20 minutes later... a stranger approched Jasmine -

Stranger:
Are you a friend of Daniel?

Jasmine:
Yes, why? What happened?

Stranger:
A reckless drunken driver ran over Daniel & he is critical in the hospital.

- 11:57pm -
The doctor came out from the emergency room & handed out an apple juice & a letter to Jasmine.

Doctor:
We found this in Daniel's pocket.

Jasmine read the letter which says:
Jasmine, this past few days, I realized you are really a cute girl & I am falling for you.. your cherished smile, your everything when we played this game.. & before this game ends, I would like you to be my girlfriend for the rest of my life. I love you, Jasmine...

Jasmine crumples the paper & shouted..

"Daniel! I don't want you to die...I love you... Remember that night we saw a meteor? I mumbled something.. I wished that we would be together forever & never end this game. Please don't leave me, Daniel... I love you, you cannot do this to me

Then the clock strikes 12

Daniel's heart stop pumping

THEN IT WAS THE 30th DAY...

Always love your loved ones & show them how you feel before it's too late.. You will never know when they will be gone from your embrace.. If you were given a time to bestow petals of everlasting compassion & love to your love ones, today is the day. Love them while they are still here...

Asi es la vida

Always hear about it. Never try it. So when the offer came about, I thought, heck why not.

A girl in her 20s brought me to room 8. Before that, the woman at the counter asked how long. I thought an hour should do fine. Place is clean. It’s very well taken care. Not as how I expected or always perceive it to be. What can I say; the location is not exactly where I would go to if it wasn’t for my curiosity.

The room was sufficient for a single bed and space to move about. The light was dimmed. Another lady in her early 40s, maybe, came in and told me to take everything off and leave the panty on. Intrigue, nervous, and anxious, I did exactly as I was told. She asked me to get on the bed and be in whatever position I feel comfortable. So I decided to face front and let her work on my back first. For a blind lady, she sure knows how to massage at the right area. We chatted in the beginning. She’s been doing it for 21 years. Apparently the blind institution teaches them whole loads of stuff, from massage to stenography. Cool huh. Didn’t know massaging was offered too. I dozed off half of the session and woke up feeling good.

Though now I feel slight pain on the backbone area. Side effect I reckon... and yes... i'm very descriptive! LOL !

On the way to PB, Sam called and asked who I've been with, why I have not organise a weekend gad and most prominently, where have I been all this time. Well, basically, the old peeps have kinda broken up. The people are here but just not together. I think not only Sam is asking. Some did too.

I know you guys read my blog so rather than I repeat why, I’ll explain here.

I am around and have had hectic weekends. It’s not I have forgotten you lots. How could I. You guys played an important role in my life. Why have I not arrange for weekend gads? Simply cause I know it would not be as easy as before. You have other priority to attend and I’m not a part of it. How many times did I planned and had to cancel cause we can't get the peeps together??

When you peeps moved on, without hesitate, so did I. I cannot wait for you to be available and though I hope things don't change, they do ! I have to make my own living too. Secretly, you know that we can’t be like we were before but for sure when we do, it remains the same.

Dearies, I really care and miss you guys and so when you can make the time, gimme a holler and we gad. We may not see each other as often but I do make a point to keep up with each of your well-being. Personally I do not like it when you're down, or alone, you look for me but when you're at your peak, you don't give a care. Then again, I know you guys too well to give a fret. Although we have our own qualms, great friendship are there anytime. Although some may totally neglect me cause I don't matter anymore but hay, asi es la vida !

Wedding of the year

While every rizal, faizal and zulkifli and limah, tijah and athina raved over Siti's akad nikah today, I have the privilege of attending a wedding of someone with exceptional inner and outer beauty, always true of herself and just unbelievably gorgeous. Loads of heart broken that night that is 110% guarantee.

Couple of them were on my table ! LOL !

For once, Lara and I were the first to arrive among our Perth mates. Everyone was surprised... imagine how we felt ! Everything was just beautiful. As soon as you entered the lobby, the coordinated group of family ushered us to the grand ballroom. Theme for the night was turqoise and gold.

It was a grand ordeal. Former PM and wife was there, DPM wife, some other menteris and other VIP too. Expected Mahathir Lokman as the emcee since Min was working with him before. Food was excellent, gift was as good. Of coz she had to get the customised candy from Perth right.... hehehe... so typical for Perth peeps, especially if they get to travel there constantly *jeles jeles*

As always, weddings and raya are our opportunity to catch up with each other because on normal occasion we never could. Things have never been the same since we got back. I mean we don't spend our time with each other as we did then but it's expected. We had our own life before Perth and being back here is coming back to what we had. Even so, when we do get together, nothing changes. We're at ease with each other, still trying to make an effort to meet outside beyond wedding and raya, and at that instance, miss Perth.

Congratulations Yazmin and Fahmy !
Wishing you both infinity happiness and loads of lil' min and fahmy to come !!

PGL the musical

Tiara, Stephen, AC, Adlin. What do they have in common?

Actors that brought to live beautifully an epic love folklore of our very own legendary Hang Tuah with Majapahit princess, Gusti Puteri.

The show was spectacular, out-of-this-world (cewah... and i've watch how many theatrical show this year...hehehe). It's a must watch. Stephen was simply a drool. Very dashing and a voice to die for. Adlin had his share of AF performance....hehehe.... the crowd laughed. He has created such as image of himself, seeing him in another light was a bit odd. AC has proven he is more than Gerak Khas material thanx to Afdlin after Baik Punye Cilok movie. He acted so well as Adipati. Amazingly well ! He came out to greet the audience. Didn't take photo with him but snapped one for sakes. I was awed with the stage setup. Very hi-tech and well made. Met up with Megat. He was one of the casts. Played quite a role too. Who would have thought he'll be in this industry.

Whale done Megat ! You did good ! The whole cast did ! Excellent !

Starlight hair lite

I love it when I don't plan out a weekend coz something good always crops up and I wish I had another day to recuperate.

I thought this year I will not be going to Starlight cinema. Guess what? I went ! Picnic under the stars with Ezz, Andy and Aiman. Of course we got complimentary tickets like any other year. Watched 2fast 2furious and Tokyo Drift... and as my long time gad peeps would expect, I drifted off to lala land in the midst of Tokyo Drift.

There's always something sinful when it comes to weekend - food galore. We were prep with KFC, sandwiches, frankfurters, karipap, titbits, drinks and a mat big enough for party of 8 (assuming everyone lays in straight line).

I had my hair cut too. It's not boy-short but good enough to cut 10mins off my shower time and no tying required ! I love it. So far the vote skewed towards 'a cool look' and 'it makes me look thinner'. Personally, I'm trying to get use to it too but I like the thought I can style it however I wish and have an excuse for it.... hehehehe....

Besides from Starlight, saturday was also all-in-the-family-three-generation-gals day out, Sunday bro-sis outing and room-car cleaning. Fun is so much work !

Oh brother !

My brother made a formal declaration that women are unpredictable... and this came about even after he had grown around women all his life.

Not very smart hay doctor.

Anyhoot he went out of his way (actually I went out of my way coz he bugs me to follow him to Pyramid... more of trying to get me drive him there!) and bothered himself to buy a reconciliation gift and a rose for a gal friend which he said he offended.

Ngah, Ying, how come we don't get reconciliation gift when he offends us !

It's good that he is attentive to female natural need for attention and unpredictable behaviours (men have the same issue too. it's the venus and mars theory). You don't find that a lot anymore out there but maybe it's the generation. Generation-X men have the mentality that women's place is in the kitchen but Generation-Y practices in gender equilibrium. I was born in-between the generation shift, (baby boomers or baby busters - either one of those labels) which derived to my conclusion why women should have fair share in all aspect in life but yet men should play their role as being a man and not a wimp.

Things just happen

No matter how early you plan a weekend, if circumstances calls, priority prevail. You could only wish that your friends understand that you're not ditching them and it's something you have to do. The plan goes on and your friends should continue to enjoy the weekend as intended especially since the alternative is Bali !

DD being such a dolling (as Qadirah would say it), and let us house-sit for the weekend. I like how Ling and I had the same thinking when we know DD was going away... hehehe... truly are great minds....hehehehehe....

We took care of it as if it was our own... but where's the key to the porns ?? Things like that are essential to share DD... on second thought... I don't think I want to know your sadistic toys. What I don't know, I won't use to hurt me... hehehehehe.....eeeuuuwwww.... psycho !

As planned, we had food galore - ample of it, started from Uni's pleasantly cosy wedding to an all italian home cook, home delivery and desert (tiramisu is italian right...wait...google... yup... confirm it's italian but this one is kahlua-free !) and finished with RM15 buffet lunch (yeah u know where it is !)

AF4 felt like another weekly concert not a final. As expected Faizal won. I think AF1 and 2 was real. The votes were genuine and graduates are being themselves. Now it's just commercial values (and I should know... really???)

I've concluded and told Iannis that he is a primitive homo sapien that would fit in perfectly during the stoneage era and I meant it with the highest hugest compliments !

... hehehehehe... bam bam hitting stick or whatever it's called suits you perfectly, the whole outfit and dinosaur hairpin and all ! At least I didnt say CAPTAIN CAAAAVVVVVEEEEMMMMMAAAANNNNNNN !!!!!

Next up this coming weekend, emmmm.... let's play it by ear hay (",)

$hine, $tarlight & Hope

$hinesters gathering last nite were another unexpected episode. We were called in to make use of $hine as a team to empower the industry in various services. Basically, what more can $hine do to help advertising personas to excel in the industry and in community, which then leads to $hinesters forum and community service in the end of the year. It's not enough that I'm trying to have a decent work-personal life, I have to do this too?!?!

It's a good gesture, I agree but the time commitment is what I don't have. Next meet up is on Aug 24. I'll think it over. Knowing me, I'll do it just to prove myself I can take up the challenge but with a huge SIGH !

$tarlight Cinema is back ! In Sentul Park ! Aiyooooo..... why la there? It is more convenient to be in Mt Kiara. Am guessing traffic to Sentul would be bad. Yet, I have 8 free passes ! No plans for it for now but I know some how or rather I will end up there anyways. Am just a raving fan of $tarlight but now that it move to Sentul....mmmmmm.....

My sister has assigned me as the official vengabus for Qistina from Wednesdays to Fridays. A good thing too coz it will ensure me getting in the office before 930am. Yeah yeah !

I have a new goal in life effective immediately.
110% Intention: To involve a 3rd party and more ! hehehehe....
0% Mechanism: Open to any means of strategy if seems viable
Date to achieve: Soon is not a factor but eventually is a guarantee
Expected result: 5 years max !

hehehehe.... I'm scaredddddddddd !!! I make the goal and I'm scared ! LOL !

Life is full of surprises aint it... and I love it !
