Qaisara has Kawasaki

My anticipated raya plans ended up spending most of it in the hospital visiting Sara and babysitting Qist and Dira. Sara was admitted to the hospital on the 2nd day of raya and been diagnosed with Kawasaki disease.

Yes peeps, there’s such thing as Kawasaki disease and I’m not referring to the motorbike.

Today is her 6th day in the hospital and would be given gamma globulin (purified antibody), an ingredient of blood that helps the child's body fight off infection. At this point in time, I’m not sure if she’s already taking it because this morning they had to check her heart condition before proceeding. If it goes untreated, it can lead to serious complications that can involve the heart.

She’ll recover, insyallah, but seeing a 4 year old laying in bed restless and keep on asking to go home is heartbreaking :-((

Cousins from Bentong came to visit instead of us heading over. That was thoughtful of them. Other relatives called in to check on her status and came visiting to our home instead our yearly routine of going to theirs.

To those who wished her well, appreciate your prayers guys. Insyallah by tomorrow she’ll be up and cheerful again.

Syawal 1427H

As I was switching channels on the eve of raya, I can’t help but notice movies shown on telly regarding raya are always sad melodramas. Is that what raya just stands for? I know it is a season to forgive and start over a new leaf but does it all have to be sad episodes.

In my book of raya, it’s a joyful season of gathering with family and relatives. The only mandatory period of the year that everyone make time to catch up especially with the same bloodline. Universal truth - people nowadays are closer to their friends than any relatives. So when raya comes, it is an opportunity to strengthen that family ties and appreciate each other even though proximity is a challenge but care is strong at all times.

I looked forward to raya for the traditional routine of visiting relatives and friends especially on the 1st three days. The rest of the hols are spend recuperating before facing reality of work again. It’ll be another 12 months before I get another week off work. So while I can, I’ll make the most of it.

For things I did wrong, for words which might hurt, for jokes that went overboard and for advices you didn’t wanna hear – please accept my utmost apologies.

Salam Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir Batin.

Sirpwiseeeee: Thirty-Nothing

Thursday the 12th

Break fast with Cik Mas, Epol and Mathir at Fridays, Parade. I don’t know why that every time Cik Mas and I get together we always ended up in Fridays. She looks very perempuan melayu. At last, she touch based with her femininity.

Thanx Cik Mas for an early birthday treat.

Friday the 13th

In the month of Ramadhan, ghosts and ghouls are ‘tight up’ for business except those in the form of human.

That really applies to my gadders…heehee…

Buka jemaah @ Taipan Satay Samuri with Sam, Kat, Ayu, Zool, Meng, Ila, Irene, Along, Agnes, Yus, Saadah, Cik Lan, Andy and Aiman. Place was average but good enough to accommodate varies of invites. Most of gadders came but half had to work and such. That was cool. We hadn’t been in touch for ages and it’s great that after year’s hiatus we can still chill. I was astonished that everyone agreed to go to Taipan on a weekday. I was surprised I agreed to go Taipan too ! Syawa brought Aydin. He’s such an angel.

Of coz the uncles and aunties make attempt to corrupt his innocent mind as soon Syawa’s out of sight. Hay, that’s what friends are for right…not !

It’s important to me that everyone that matters in my life get together on this one particular occasion not so much to celebrate but appreciate that I have survive another year with supports from these great individuals.

My beloved ling2s did an excellent job in making me feel unimportant and unloved thinking they won't be with me this weekend. The unexpected-but-known-surprise and 2-hours drive in traffic to the most unlikely place was appreciated. Thumbs up for Baskin’s ice cream cake and the gift which was really really lovely ! Actually, I didn't expect any gift but I got from quite a few too.

I hope you know how much you matters otherwise I couldn’t care less of your presence. You still are my ling2s…hehehe… at least til the end of the year for sure…hehehe…

We headed to Pyramid to watch a movie but chatted til 3am. The place was pitched black but we kept on reminiscing on life and everything else. It slipped my mind I was a tomboy in high school and my boy name was Khamarull Aizat…hehehe… it lasted til mid Form 4…. i think... hehehe…. stupid but the best years I ever had !

To note: tomboy and pengkid is 2 different species. I’m gay not a lesbian :-p

Saturday the 14th

A family affair with the traditional cake cutting ceremony by the nieces. Yes that’s right. The aunty do not get to blow the candles coz the nieces were gracious enough to do the honour. Purposely woke up Dira for it and luckily she wasn’t that moody.

Did anyone notice that Abah n Boy were not there?? I didn’t ! Bad kan *erkkkk*

Headed to Andy’s and chilled out til 3ish with Mel, Yus, and Ezz. Aiman dropped by later after a wedding reception in Mines and he stumped Ezz with his handsomeness. Never seen him in formal attire before.

Wait til he really get dress up, this was only a glimpse… hehehehe…

Sunday the 15th – the DAY

The most tiring day of my life and it’s only the first day !

Didn’t sleep a wink since I got back home and helped mom to bake cookies for raya. I was stoned by 10am but had to keep awake til all was baked. Finally by 2pm it was done and I finally could get a nap. Not for long though coz we break fast outside.

I ate so much since Friday. There goes whatever I lost since puasa started.

Alhamdullillah…

Today the 16th

My colleagues planning to break fast together. Although I'm the only person breaking fast... hehehe... in conjunction of my birthday.

Sweet hay. Even surprisingly that my lady boss-but-not-my-boss-anymore bothered to arrange it. I'm not sure where we're going but it doesn't matter coz the thought that counts and I'm overwhelmed.

Leaving would be itsy bitsy harder now.....

Thanx everybody for all the wishes n the gifts and the time spent and the thoughts. It was a great end of the decade ! Love ya long long time for infinity !

L.O.S.E.R

The Big Bang Breakfast crew on Fly FM has dubbed the official title for yesterday's contest as Listener Of Radio Special Expertise Representative = L.O.S.E.R !

Gosh now am glad am not the winner! At least I'm not called a LOSER on national radio. Surely this is a blessing in disguise.

God works in mysterious ways :-)

I was almost there…

I came in second in Fly FM Special Listeners Expert (I think that the name of it).

I was really hoping to get it though. The thought of being in a studio with Fly just gives me shivers. Actually being in the studio on live radio just enough.

I called on Tuesday to scoff at this guy, the next thing I knew I was in the running for it too. By Wednesday, I was voted as the top two.

I did a huge blunder that the guys busted me on-air. It was an act of desperation and passion and determination…so pathetic that I’m shy to share the info. Of course I got my sisters and friends to vote and most of them have no idea what it is for but since I’m such a doll, they did it anyways.

Love you guys loads !

Ok ok… I contributed to the votes. I only did it once… twice… ok ok three times ! That’s it ! Really ! Surprisingly there are people who actually voted for me ! People I don’t know voted for me ! I’m amazed !

Maybe I should try AF next year…. NOT ! LOL !

Anyhoot, Fly n Phat Fabes tried calling me three times but I was in a place with bad reception. Managed to talk to them by noon and Fly asked me to drop by whenever I’m in KLIA. As if I could simply walk in as I like. He agreed that would be hard but hay, tomorrow’s just another day ! He asked if they can holler me sometimes, and I, of coz, say yes.

Anyways to my lovely sisters and comrades and fans (baru 3 days on-air dah ada fans ker?...hehehe), thanx for the vote. It was for a good cause and your investment is much appreciated. I'm worth it ;-D

You guys rock !
