Unpredictable...

Ramadhan really stretched me to the extreme ! I get to knocked off early for break fast and in time to do my prayers but I’m trying to finish the average 11 hours per day of work into 8 hours and that is maximum taxing ! On top of that, a couple of job landed on my lap when it shouldn’t have at all.

Anyhow, 16 days from now its Aidilfitri, time for togetherness with family and friends, catch up on a year happenings, visiting one another with nasi impit probably in all the menu (though I am more of a lemang person).

Besides from raya, I’m looking forward for my time away from any work for at least a week, though I’m hoping to get another week to be in bliss before making a fresh dawn.

What makes me anxious the most was the company trip they have planned in Dec to Ist@nbul and yours truly is invited to come with at company’s expense and I haven’t even started ! Of coz if I leave less than 12 months I’ve to pay back every cent but insyallah, I’ll last at least 367 days.

Now can I put aside a decent pocket money for the trip????? U-financing-me please...

These upcoming two weekends, I’ll be busy with cookies baking and cleaning up my mess but of coz I’ve set aside time to break fast with the gadders. It’s an annual tradition which I hope will always stay a tradition.

As we speak, or blog, Dira is self-amusing herself behind me and distracting me and when the phone rang, she answered eloquently. Not bad for a 4 years chickadee.

It was my uncle from Pah@ng who called. A relative just past away...

Winner VS Loser

The Winner is always part of the answer;

The Loser is always part of the problem.

The Winner always has a program;

The Loser always has an excuse.

The Winner says, "Let me do it for you";

The Loser says, "That is not my job."

The Loser sees a problem for every answer.

The Winner says, “It may be difficult but it is possible";

The Loser says, "It may be possible but i t is too difficult."

A Loser makes promises.

Losers have schemes.

Winners choose what they say;

Losers say what they choose.

Winners use hard arguments but soft words;

Losers use soft arguments but hard words.

*********

Winners stand firm on values but compromise on petty things;

Losers stand firm on petty things but compromise on values.

*********

Winners follow the philosophy of empathy: "Don't do to others what you would not want them to do to you";

Losers follow the philosophy, "Do it to others before they do it to you.”

*********

Winners make it happen;

Losers let it happen.

*********

Winners plan and prepare to win.

Losers only know the word ‘preparation’ and do nothing.

Ramadh@n...

Alhamdullillah it’s been 7 days since Ramadhan began and so far it’s been a breeze. I managed to terawih on the eve (the most important terawih of all terawih) but missed 3 days so far because of work and a break fast out. Company allows us to leave by 5pm but if there’s work, it depends on the crucially of deadlines and their discretion.

Went to P@k li for supper on hoohaa pickup with 3 crews down on Sat nite. The place was packed non-stop. Food was ok but I doubt that’s really why people go there. Likely, it’s the ambience and inexpensive pricing and WiFi access.

Coincidently on Sat was Maman’s more-than-20-yrs-bday *wink*. So Yus and I went for a quick shop and hand given his prezie when he picked us up for break fast. We weren’t sure what to get and not sure if he would like it but thankfully he did, although we had to change the size coz it was an inch too big for him.

Luckily bought in S@CC... pweh !

The thrill and frill of Ramadhan is the food galore which all walks of Malaysians so fondly enjoy.

Break fast itinerary in hand:

Cash in hand:

TO ALL, SALAM RAMADHAN & HAVE A GOOD FULFILLING FAST...

It's never the blink2...

It is tough went the dollar sign blink2 shinier than before and becomes my motivator to even consider, besides from one up post level. I realized that I am not driven by title. If I was, I think, all the post that I reluctantly turned down before, I would be in super senior managerial level. Really.

I move when there’s a likeable interest on the work, favourable blink2 (although I took a pay cut once coz I like the job) and how far it’ll take me. Of course, the environment plays a lot as well but irregardless how good or bad it is, if it’s time to go, I’ll go. So when the preposition given was very enticing to say no, I reflected to the reasons why I want to move in the first place.

At the end of it, it’s not all about the money nor the status. It’s about my satisfaction and how content it'll make me even though I will never know the state I'm getting myself into. So, nO fret. nO feAr. I'll risk it.

I will be miss, I'm sure *smacked by vainness*

Brain is better than brawn...

Good to know someone had a good experience first time on set and ever so grateful that her real life boyfriend has a brain compared to on-screen hubby. If I were you, I'll be weeping too. I don’t know much about the hairy bit but stick with the one you know, ok dearie. *wink*

As we speak, 2 more of my talents are on set for petr0na$ ad, but actually I never meet the 2nd guy before... hehehe !! Suddenly become my talent... self declaration as alwiz... hehehe... Lovely !

An island excursion...

Booking has been made way ahead as we did for our last bangkok trip. This time, hoohaas n ling2 minus 1 are going for red@ng excursion in April !

Way way ahead aint it. Well, bare in mind red@ng is close from nov-feb because of the monsoon. So in a way we're kinda early... hehe...

We’ll be staying at the edge of a lagoon called Red@ng H0liday Be@ch Vi11a (I know you all don't know where we've booked but simply comply with the plan... hehehe... good la you all).

Here’s some pix to rave you up and a reminder to start saving at least RM70 a month for the trip ! I know you all a big spender especially when ‘sanctu@ry’ or ‘sang ila’ at stake, so come March, don’t tell me you don’t have enough for the trip y’al ! Don't forget we have to book a flight too...

SOLD !

Managed to sell off another friend for a tv commercial. Yoohoo !

My ability to invent a wonderful imagery of getting easy money with an added fame seems to entice my fellow comrades to create a casting profile. Of coz added with my constant forcing for them to go, has alas, slowly but surely seems gainful *wink*

Truth of the matter, it’s pure luck. If so happened the director, agency and client favours you, then, you get to see the lense of a camera. If it’s not a career choice for you, really it doesn’t matter if you get selected or not. But I know a friend is retiring when he hasn’t even gotten started… hehehe… that’s a sad case ! LOL !

By far, 2 friends sold and hopefully countless more to go… hehehehe…

Congrats Mel ! Make me proud ok !

Watch out for @str0 E P L y’al !!

Med1@ Pr1m@

The fun about working in an ad agency is attending awards and media launches coz it’s always fun and entertaining and foods and drinks are all marvelous. It’s like attending gr@mmy awards. People make the effort to dress up, with hairdo and make up and blink2 and gowns. Sheesh !

You bound to see celebs. Dat0 S1ti was next to me and we met eye to eye just as I was pulling a chicken off the satay stick ! Talk about making an impression... hehehe... @lly will own a show next year. It’s a male chauvinist kind of program. He is never gonna get marry after this… hehehehe… When I called out to him, he said a lukewarm hello, until he realized it was me, his gave a surprised hello. Good to know he still remembers a schoolmate and stardom didn’t make him any less pleasant.

The best part about the launch was the sporting CEOs of Medi@ Prim@. They were down to earth and extremely amusing. Throughout it, they took the advantage of mocking their boss. Izh@m was hosting most of the program. He was hilarious. Hj Bukh@ri, C00 of tv sembilan, rapped with Ahli Fiq1r, although all he rapped was ‘sembilan sembilan sembilan’ and his only dance move was knocking his hand to his chest like ‘ur my homeb0y’ greet; Amrin, CE0 for ntv tujuh came out as a magician and turned Izh@m mineral water to wine but since Izh@m is a ‘stout’ muslim, he didn’t like the wine. F@rid was slamming and showing figures how they are better than @str0 which I so agree.

All fun must come to an end and reality bites again… here I am at work. Sigh.

Their staff evaluation is based on KP1 with ratings from 1-5. Get rated 5 means 9 months bonus !! Any lower is pro-rated. Heck that means it's more than 1 month regardless. Apply apply apply !!!

A good end…

I read my previous posts. My grammar and spelling sux mate ! No wonder my lecturer sister complained... heheheeheh...

Anyways, unlike other account, I don’t have a supervisor or sort at work. I’m a one-woman show. Therefore, I’ve to attend all management and finance meetings. So basically I report directly to the big tycoons at work as well as client’s. Hence, my work performance is evaluated by the GM and MD and my client have yearly agency evaluation for regional review since we are a lifetime partners so we need to ensure we understand each other expectations. Professionally, it’s good for me cause I can deal direct with management yet at times, I get all nervous doing so. That was before. After 2 years now... we can 'wazap dawg' one another... hehehehe...

So when we received an appraisal letter from my client and rated our work “excellent/exceeds expectations”, I was astonished and of coz patted myself at the back, and laughed, though I wasn't really sure why it amused me.

Actually H1ng2 asked me to pat myself... you think am so vain at work?? I am so the opposite my usual, social personality. I just noticed this fact also :-O

It’s really not a big of a deal (do I sound humble enuf) but at least it shows I didn’t messed up the account while it was under my care. If only it could put me in the running for p0wersuit @ward, my career will look superb (But am I not planning to leave this industry... sigh)

Rim cover…

It was a matter of time before one of the rim cover gets lost on the road and last Sat on my way to bs@r it did.

Earlier in the afternoon, it rolled away when I made a stopped at the shop. A driver-by came to me and told me my car tyre was on the road. Of coz this shocked the hell out of me coz the car felt ok to me. She actually meant the rim cover... What do you expect from a woman driver la huh… me included at times too… hehehe...

So I walked across and noticed more than half of the stoppers (or whatever you call the thing that cling on the rim… hehehe…) was broken. Not wanting the tyre looking bare, I put it on again. That nite, I forgotten about it and of coz it went rolling rolling rolling rolling and am guessing it was right after Dsar@ tol plaza.

Next day, took a trip to Br0thers, got excited looking at all the available accessories in the store, got a cybernetic looking covers and now am extra cautious that I don’t hit any side curb coz it would wrack badly.

I’ll post the pix up soon. Looking very cooollllllll……

A family Merdek@

On Merdeka day, I had a family picnic. I can’t remember when the last time we ever picnic. Centuries I reckon. It was the 1st for the gals so in the beginning they were petrified walking up the hill over dried leaves and twigs but after a dipped in the waterfall, they kept asking for more.

We bbq-ed for lunch and stayed thru late noon. Pity the bbq-ers. Sweating like mad but it was yum yum. Guaranteed no sweat added in for that extra yummy taste… hehehe… yuck !

The spot we parked was perfect and cosy. Alhamdullillah there weren’t a lot of people. I was worried earlier coz almost all bbq things were finished at tesc0. I contemplated to go to few other places which I think would be less crowded but decided on FR1M coz it’s near to home and we started off late morning. I expected it to be pack but luckily it was nothing like that at all.

I managed to get a waterfall massage. The water was cold with serene scenery although the end of the waterfall was facing the road so it kind of takes away the feeling of being back in nature but nonetheless it was lovely.

The gals want another picnic rendezvous. Anty feels pressure to look for a new place to go. Maybe we’ll picnic at a beach next time. Will see how aunties and mama’s financial is ya…

No gol no gincu

A week ago today, I played my first futsal with my colleagues. There were 12 of us, with only 2 gals presence so each went to a team. It was first for Christ1ne too. I was already nervous way before I reach the court.

Mimicked the guys for warmed up and stretched so that the day after my body won't excruciate with pain. Surprisingly, I was fine the next day but the day after, the pain caught up with me. 2 days after the game ! Weird.

It was the best sport I ever played. Of coz the men weren’t rough with us chix and I used that advantage to tackled the ball away from the opposing team. Pity Christ0pher, I always ended up guarding him and he was so stressed out because of me…hehehehe… Nice !

The ball smacked me right on the face, and I stood there for a good 5sec to check if I’m ok. No bruise after. Great. As soon as I realized I’m good to go, I turned and tackled the ball away from R0bert and passed it to S0lo. A natural born player...as if...

The guys were very supportive. Every kick I made got ‘a good one sheer@’ even though I kicked it out from the court. I think it's probably better to kick the ball out than to another team and make them score coz I was the unofficial 'defense'... hehehe... Do we call a futsal turf a court… eh turf la kan….

So tonite I’m playing again, forcing my @D to play as well before Ramadhan comes and I’ll then be busy, insyallah, with terawih.

And as the post title stated, I scored no gol and the gincu was off too *wink*
