In the spirit of raya...

This raya has been extraordinary. The first day itself we expanded our raya route up to Mantin. I only discovered an area named Mantin in Negeri Sembilan from a new acquaintance a.k.a a hoohaa crew.

Our raya team has gotten smaller with myself, yus and meng in the convoy. No news from Zul. He must be busy pr-ing with Aisha’s family. Good for them.

Yesterday, we went to 3 open house invites. It started from Bandar Tasik Selatan > Setiawangsa > Putra Heights. By the time I sent the crews back, I reached home about 2am feeling very knackered and stuffed full.

I was worried I overdressed because I usually wore pants for raya visits but yesterday, I put on a raya outfit. So unlike me but of course, my instinct over tedious matter is as good as any vital ones. Everyone was in the spirit of raya, some didn’t had on a raya outfit but was definitely dressed well. I remembered when people came in normal casual clothes like it’s another potluck party. People don’t bother dressing up but now they make sure their image and style are well presented. I think as people grow and insyallah in good status, they will take more precedence in their stature persona.

For self-proclamation and satisfaction, this is a constructive effort but if one condemned others thinking their look, personality and position standing is better than the rest, they are as good a loser as a fox – selfish, self-centered, thinking they can outsmart others when in reality they are being outsmarted and laughed about. They don’t have any true friends. Why would they when they themselves are not true to others.

In the spirit of raya, ask for forgiveness but don’t instantly get back to the bitchiness. I’m getting stressed over people I don’t even know but just upset that some of my friends are surrounded by them. Sigh.

I’m so lucky my friends are not like that and we accept one another as it is. Not hoping anyone to follow or think the same way as each other. What fun would that be if we all think alike. God might as well make us all looked the same ain’t it.

Life is like a colourful rainbow. You feel all fuzzy when you see its beautiful sight and when the sun sweeps it away, instant of enjoying the bright cheery warmth, some decided it’s hot enough to burn others so they can now feel happy.
Pathetic.

My birthday...

My birthday felt on 3rd day of raya so I do forgive my ‘friends’ who have forgotten regardless how hard they have tried to make sure not to forget about it. The thoughts, they say, that counts... is it :-)

Yus, meng and ajax planned a birthday eve for me at TGIF. It was a pleasant gesture. We then spent 4 hours karaokeing my first few hours at Redb0x. Certain someone has unintentionally sabotage the crews but bad intention will be penalized... hehehe...

Couple of days later, Yus successfully tricked me to accompanied her to meet a friend in KLCC only to be surprised with a dinner treat from Maman, Md Nor, Nurul, Shidi (who met me once and never gadded before) and Yus at Chili’s. A surprise that actually worked this time... hehehe...

Hasta Luego amigos...

You would think after few days unemployed, I would make the time and update my blog on all my happenings since we celebrated Aidilfitri. Actually, I thought I would instantly do that too. I have been my endearing time away from work – I don’t have to stay alert, keep focused, meet a deadline and most importantly I don’t have to use the maximum 10% brain capacity god given me for about 2 weeks. I don’t have to wake up at 8am, worry about my tummy getting cranky for poopoo, crave for caffeine, rushing for appointments, brainstorming, research and all the wondrous world of ad promise to an advertiser.

I choose to be in this industry and faced the fact that my ‘bowl of kuey teow soup’ is in advertising and I no longer resist or doubt or question my enthusiasm to stay in it for this time.

My farewell note to all was that we will meet each other either in a formal or social event eventually. It had my fun time and I know I will miss the lot, the whole jingbang, the total chilladas.

This is not a farewell coz I’ll be seeing you later amigos :-)

Syawal 1428 Hijrah

We have reached the end of Ramadhan and tomorrow will be a new beginning of unfasting point which Syawal will greet us and let us celebrate Aidilfitri for a month :-D

I like fasting month coz it helps to detox my system and the commitment to break fast together with family and friends becomes mandatory.

This Ramadhan, alhamdullillah I managed to break fast mostly at home half, I think I did maybe about 14 days of terawih only (sadness) and break fast with ALL my gadders, with exception of Ezz and Eddy. She’s now in Chennai, celebrating Raya away from Malaysia like she always wanted but maybe the preferred alternative place is not Chennai... *giggle*, as for Eddy, our timing doesn’t seem to fit. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow. Insyallah.

Thanx Mom for cooking/buying food for our break fast although she is maidless and still managed to delivered her cookies orders even though we ended up with no choc semprit (uweeeekkkkkkkkkk!!!!!). Her hardship now has caused her a backache.
Must send her for massage therapy after raya... errr... at her expense can or not *blushing*

My sis gets home earlier than the rest of us and she introduced and got me addicted to this one kuih which I dono what it’s called.
Thanx Ngah for buying it often... me likey !

Qistina got thru couple of days of full fasting and almost a week of terawih.
Well done kakak !

For the ever kindhearted ling2 who graciously welcome me for break fast at their expense…ehem ehem… thanx dollings ! Do continue to ‘sharing is caring’ with your loving friends often ya... *ahaks*

Ajeem, the potluck buka was nice with interesting guests. I totally enjoyed it !

I got an early birthday prezie from my bosom buddy, who I really think should be a raya gift and give me a separate birthday prezie on my ACTUAL birth date.
Banyak demand lak pompuan nie kan... LOL !
Thanx Yusz for the ‘Raya’ gift and helping out with the house prep and some other blink2 issue too. You know I know enuf la ;-)

Thanx Mas for the unexpected dodols and Meng for sending the dodols... hehe... good teamwork guys !

If I miss out thanking anyone else, sorry if I did and sincerely I appreciate loads all your generosity.

To my family, friends, and the accidental stumble-upon-my-blog-readers…
SALAM AIDILFITRI & AMPUN MAAF ZAHIR BATIN !

HAVE A CHEERFUL SYAWAL AND WATCH OUT ON THE ROAD !

BE SAFE ALWAYS !

A rainbow with fine lining...

The setback of a delay blog update is that I tend to forget my initial thought that I want to share with. Sigh. It’s a sign !.... hehehehehe

My boss has announced my departure last Friday and still expects me to stay til end of month. Gosh ! Farewell is never easy to me. I always have good memories in all my workplace and confronting a new frontier is scary coz I have to start anew at everything except maybe this time; the work is still the same with a different procedure and thinking here and there.

Anyways, that’s 3 weeks to go so for now I canned the frightening yet anxious feeling.

Did I mention I am following the company’s trip to Istanbul *clap clap*

Last Saturday, I break fast at Ajeem’s with Maman, Yus and Nurul. We were outnumbered by Ajeem’s friends but in time, we were mingling together but it tickled me fancy when they said Yus was handsome, Nurul's gender was questioned and I annoyed them for not responding when they called me. Then again, they called me not by my name but one part of my anatomy !

Most of all, what made me super duper joyful was when the frozen cheesecake I made received unanimous compliments. Alhamdullillah though it wasn’t so frozen when it was served.

On a different note, how would u feel if people think the contrary of you, for example, u’re a guy but they think u’re a butch, u’re str8 but people think not, and the extreme is a chix is better looking/more handsome than you !!!???

Hooray for the chix but to be said handsome but not pretty or sweet...???

Talk about living a colourful life, this is over the colour chart !

Plan3t of idiots...

It’s been raining the entire morning and I’m freezing like mad. It’s one of that non-common weather caused by global warming. Gosh! Scary !

I’m ever so grateful last Sat, the weather was fine and so was the turn up for Buka Jemaah @ Plan3t. Since I’ve duly appointed myself to organized the event, I decided to get all my gadders who mostly know one another; some who may have heard of each other’s name; and a couple whose face may come as a complete stranger to break fast together.

I was worried that we will end up having an awful nite because I heard complaint a nite before the event how terrible the setup was but we were fortunate to be seated downstairs, away from the crowded food queue. It seems to me that everyone enjoyed themselves, chattering and feasting away and making their own fusion dish… erkkkkkk!

Before that, Plan3t reservation staff was giving me hell about paying a deposit. It’s not enough they called me on Tues, Thurs AND Fri to confirm my 20pax booking, I already told them I cant go there to pay for deposit and will ‘die die’ be there for break fast and she said it was okay. Suddenly on Sat itself, this bitch called Mir@ called me 3pm insisting that I pay half deposit before 4pm if not my table will be released. I gave them my CC for assurance yet they insisted for someone to come by and pay. So I said, let me find a friend who can go early to pay. I couldn’t do this myself because I have online @ 4pm. The nerve of the woman to ask me what time can my friend come when she bloody well has not put down the phone with me yet ! So furiously I told her to bugger off and I’ll let her know. If I hadn’t had 20pax to managed, I would just move the venue to some place professional and respectful. I managed to reached there 530pm and took the decency to pay RM100 deposit and they still insist for 50% up front ! Of coz, at that point, all hell break lose and Yus and I irritably said we will be back in an hour for break fast and we have a cake with us for Syawa’s surprise to assure our come back and I zillion mentioned time said my paxes will be there !!!! A waitress overhead our conversation, calmed us down and we paid RM100 resentfully. It’s not about the money, it’s the principle and they have brilliantly proven they sux at handling Ramadhan buffet. It’s only Plan3t, not Shang that cost 3x more and doesn’t need a freaking deposit ! It can easily get walk-ins. Once an idiot, stays an idiot !

It’s very exhausting to get all work up over stupendous thing especially when I am fasting. Sigh.
